The White Phosphorus Files - Week 2 Part 2

UNSILENCED North Star
White Phosphorus · Part 4 of 4 · Final Part

Four weeks. Gaza. Lebanon. The science. The law. Now: what followed.

No prosecution. No referral. No Security Council resolution. No public US finding. The evidence exists. The law exists. The institutions exist. The silence is documented.

The White Phosphorus Files Week 4 · Final Part
Zero prosecutions following documented white phosphorus use in Gaza and Lebanon.
No state has initiated a prosecution against any Israeli military officer or official for the documented use of white phosphorus in Gaza and Lebanon since October 2023.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Gallant in November 2024 for war crimes in Gaza.
Those warrants did not specifically reference white phosphorus.

It found Israel's legislation in the OPT violates the prohibition of racial segregation and apartheid.
It did not address the specific documented use of white phosphorus over civilian areas in Gaza and Lebanon.
No state has filed a contentious case at the ICJ specifically on white phosphorus use.
The legal basis for such a case exists in Israel's obligations under the Geneva Conventions, which the ICRC has stated apply regardless of Protocol III ratification.

HRW called on Israel to stop. Called on Lebanon to refer to the ICC. Called on CCW states to close the loophole. None of it has happened.
Human Rights Watch called on Israel to prohibit all use of airburst white phosphorus in populated areas.

The use continued in 2026.
Human Rights Watch called on Lebanon to allow the ICC to investigate grave international crimes on Lebanese territory since October 2023.
No ICC referral has been made by the Lebanese government.

The evidence exists. The law exists. The bodies exist. The gap between what is documented and what follows has a shape.
Three independent named bodies confirmed use.
The IDF denied it.
The evidence contradicted the denial.
The US supplied the munitions and "looked into it."
The CCW loophole remains open.
No ICC referral.
No Security Council resolution.
No prosecution.
No audit of munitions supply.
The gap between forensic documentation and institutional consequence is not empty.
It is held open by documented decisions made by named governments.
That is the shape of the silence.

Verified by HRW. Confirmed by Amnesty. Confirmed by the UN. 175 documented attacks. US-supplied munitions. Used after a ceasefire. Zero prosecutions. Zero referrals. Zero resolutions. Who is the silence working for?
This is the end of the White Phosphorus series.
The documentation exists.
The law exists.
The institutions exist.
The gap between what is documented and what has followed is not an absence.
It is a choice.
You now know what that choice looks like and who is making it.
