Congress has held zero dedicated hearings on Project Nimbus since the contract was announced in April 2021.
The House Oversight Committee, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Senate Commerce Committee all have jurisdiction over technology contracts with national security implications.
None has convened a hearing on Nimbus.

After the firings. After Wired. After The Guardian. The contract is still active. Nothing changed.
In July 2024, Wired published an investigation finding that public statements from IDF officials detailed a much closer link between Project Nimbus and IDF operations than previously reported.
In February 2026, The Guardian and +972 Magazine published the leaked contract confirming Israel can pre-empt legal challenges over military use.
In May 2026, Chris Smalls was arrested at the Met Gala for projecting the same message onto Bezos's penthouse.
The contract remained active throughout.
Google and Amazon have not addressed any of the specific documented findings.
Both companies continue to serve Nimbus customers.

Former Google researcher Gabriel Schubiner stated on record: "Providing powerful technology to an institution that has demonstrated the desire to abuse and weaponize AI for all parts of war is an unethical decision."
He left.
