What Mohammad Zanoun told Abdallah Alattar01 / 01

The family was inside their tent. Ibrahim was asleep. A bullet struck him in the leg. He is one and a half years old.

Mohammad Zanoun, grandfather of Ibrahim Zanoun, told Abdallah Alattar that the family was sitting inside their tent in the Al-Mawasi displacement camp in Khan Younis when a bullet struck his grandson Ibrahim, one and a half years old, wounding him in the leg. The family immediately transported Ibrahim to hospital for treatment.

The grandfather noted that the size of the bullet was large relative to the child's small body. He stated that Ibrahim was inside the tent and asleep at the time of the incident.

Mohammad Zanoun asked how such bullets reach an area where displaced people are living. He stated that a child of this age being wounded inside his tent is painful and dangerous and called for the protection of children and civilians.

"How do bullets like this reach an area where displaced people are living? A child this age, wounded inside his tent while he sleeps. This is painful and dangerous. Children and civilians must be protected."
