Salah Ostaz
Gaza
Salah Ostaz was living in northern Gaza with his family of 12 when the war began. He was in his final year of a Computer Engineering degree. His home was destroyed. His university was destroyed. His studies stopped. He lost most of what he owned, and he lost friends and family.
Over the past two and a half years, displaced repeatedly, he has kept studying and taking exams online when possible, without a home, a classroom, or a desk.
Alongside his studies, Salah has been documenting daily life in Gaza through volunteer journalism on his Instagram account. As Salah told UNSILENCED.
